SBM CEO Welcomes Chairman of APG POWER (Hong Kong) and CEO of Cummins (China) Power Technology

On February 22, 2025, at SBM’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Trần Thành Trọng, delegate of the Binh Duong Provincial People’s Council and CEO of SBM, hosted a meeting with Mr. Wu Zhen, Chairman of APG POWER (Hong Kong), and Mr. Cao Yan, CEO of Cummins (China) Power Technology.

APG POWER is the leading OEM of Cummins (China) Technology in China, recording the highest purchase volume of Cummins engines in the country in 2024. The company supplies CKD generator sets powered by Cummins engines to SBM, with capacities ranging from 1000 to 1500 KVA.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strategies to strengthen cooperation and double the number of CKD generator sets sold to SBM in 2025, expanding the capacity range to 100-2200 KVA. Cummins (China) Technology will also provide technical solutions through APG POWER, ensuring SBM’s confidence in using the latest generation of Cummins engines.

Mr. Trần Thành Trọng and Mr. Wu Zhen also exchanged views on policies regarding party members engaging in private-sector business in Vietnam and China, as well as the roles of the People’s Council, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Binh Duong and Fujian provinces.

At APG POWER, Mr. Wu Zhen serves as Chairman and CEO, while also being a member of the Communist Party of China and a delegate of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Fujian province. He is recognized as a prominent party member in Fujian’s private business sector.
